- This former shoe factory site was granted planning consent for circa 11,500 sq. ft. of retail floor space, new public square and twenty new houses in 2017.
- A pre-let was secured to a national food retailer for 10,000 sq. ft and the houses were 100% pre-sold to a housing association on a golden brick basis.
- Sheppard Developments acted as development manager for a local property company in acquiring the site, securing planning consent, managing the letting and sale legals and appointing the main contractor.
- Many issues were encountered during this project including conservation & heritage, altering and extending the public highway, re-locating an existing sub-station as well as changing and challenging retail environment.
